Johor Darul Ta’zim’s Natxo Insa has been voted as PFAM-Asiana.my’s Player of the Month for September 2017.
The 31-year-old midfielder, who is deemed JDT’s “signing of the season”, has been instrumental in the change of the Southern Tigers game plan, especially since the appointment of new head coach Ulisses Morais.
Insa, who used to play for Spanish clubs like Valencia, Villarreal, Celta Vigo, and Levante, signed with JDT during the transfer window and took up Malaysian citizenship. His brother, Kiko Insa, also took up Malaysian citizenship and currently plays for Pahang.
Natxo Insa was nominated alongside Melaka United’s Marco Simic, Felda United’s Thiago Augusto and Wan Zack Haikal, and Pahang’s Matheus Alves.
The Spanish-Malaysian received 46.11% of the votes, followed by 29.95% for Marko Simic and 9.85% for Thiago Augusto.
