Terengganu managed to hold Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) at a 0-0 draw at the second round of Piala Malaysia 2017 group stage fixtures last night.
JDT made a lot of changes to their squad this time around. Darren Lok started upfront with Safawi Rasid and Azamuddin Akil. Junior Eldstal makes a comeback in defence, while JDT’s key weapons like Natxo Insa, Mohammed Ghaddar, and even Safiq Rahim were absent from the line-up.
Terengganu’s head coach made sure his boys put up a great fight against the reigning Super League champions, and they did, especially via the solid partnership of Faiz Nasir, Tchetche Kipre, and Issey Nakajima.
