Their battles may be over, but it is definitely not forgotten as hordes of Malaysian supporters gathered at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport to welcome the national contingent upon their return from the Rio Olympics in Brazil.

Fans were eager to show their appreciation to our national heroes as they fought tooth and nail to deliver Malaysia’s best medal haul at the Olympic Games, despite missing out on the elusive gold medal.

Prime Minister Najib Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor were present to welcome Lee Chong Wei and co. alongside Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin and Transport Minister, Liow Tiong Lai. He even announced a RM200,000 incentive increment for all of the medalists.
